Small group performance classes will take the place of individual lessons the week of the recital to give students the opportunity to gain practice experience in an in-formal setting. Some performance classes will be scheduled online to allow distance-learning students the opportunity to perform.
The studio recital will take place on Friday, December 6th, 2024 at Sardis Community Church. The event will begin at 6:30 pm. Students are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes early and bring a small plate of goodies to share in the reception following the recital.
Adult students are welcome to come out and support each other in their learning journey. Enjoy an evening of dessert, appetizers, and wine and plan to perform some of the pieces you have learned this term for the group.
Students are asked to bring a small treat to share with the group.
Lessons end for the Fall Term on Friday, December 20th, 2024.
There are no lessons December 20th, 2024 - January 3rd, 2025 due to Christmas Break.
Lessons resume on Monday, January 6th, 2025 after the winter break.
The dates for the piano classes of this competition are March 4th - 7th 2025.

The Chilliwack BCRMTA (BC Registered Music Teachers Association) is hosting it’s annual Canada Music Week recital at Sardis Community Church.
Lessons begin for the Fall Term on Monday, September 16th, 2024.
Piano and theory lessons are available to students over the summer months. Current students are strongly recommended to sign up for a minimum of 2 piano lessons over the summer to help maintain their current level of skill and musicianship. All students taking RCM piano or theory exams in the summer are required to have weekly lessons until the date of their exam.
Registration for the summer term takes place in June. Sign-up sheets will be distributed in June. Students may select the times & dates of their summer lessons from the lesson times available.
Tuition for the summer term is due July 1st, 2024.

An all-studio recital will take place on Friday, June 14th at 6:30 pm at Sardis Community Church. Awards will be given out following the recital and light refreshments will be served in the lobby. All students are asked to bring a small plate of goodies to share.

June 1st is the re-registration deadline for current students. Current student wishing to re-enroll in piano lessons for the 2024/2025 school year must submit their registration before this date. Following June 1st, new piano students will be accepted if there is space.
The Chilliwack Branch of the BC Registered Music Teacher’s Association (BCRMTA) is hosting it’s annual spring recital on Friday, May 24th at the Chilliwack Cultural Center. The evening will feature students from a variety of musical disciplines including piano, violin, and others. All member teachers of the BCRMTA may submit up to 5 students to perform at this event.
The evening maybe divided up into 2 or 3 smaller recitals:

Beginner & Elementary Students
Intermediate & Advanced Students

Join the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra for an amazing showcase of BC’s up and coming concert pianists ranging in ages from 6-18.
These wonderful musicians will play with the orchestra. The finale will feature Chilliwack’s own Clinton Giovanni Denoni and will include a composition & orchestration by Kathleen Feenstra.
All under the direction of Maestra Paula DeWit.

Each year in November, the Chilliwack branch of the BC Registered Music Teacher’s Association (BCRMTA) puts on a recital to celebrate Canada Music Week. This year, Canada Music Week will be celebrated from November 20-26, 2022. Students participating in this recital must perform music by a Canadian composer (unless in level 9 or above). Music performed at this event must be memorized. Space is limited: only 5 students per teacher will be allowed to perform.
