Attention all student composers! Have you ever wished to share your own compositions with others? Or have your music published into a music book? Here is a great opportunity for you! The Abbotsford branch of the B.C. Registered Music Teacher's Association (BCRMTA) is publishing a book full of music from local students in order to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday during Canada Music Week in November 2017. This music will be collected over the next year or so and compiled into a bound piano book. Music from this book can also be played in the Abbotsford Music Festival!
All students who have music published in the book will get a copy of the book for free.
Rules for submission:
1.) You must be a student of an Abbotsford BCRMTA member.
2.) Your submission must be neat and legible - hand written is OK as long as it is easy to read. Compositions created using computer composition software (Finale, Sibelius etc.) are preferred.
4.) You must submit your composition in PDF format.
5.) Compositions can be submitted to Joyce Janzen - please ask Kathleen Feenstra for her contact details.
6.) Students can submit a maximum of 2 compositions.
